Weekends offer plenty to explore — the nationally ranked Sedgwick County Zoo, the Exploration Place science center, and the iconic Keeper of the Plains monument along the Arkansas River. Old Town's brick-lined streets are filled with restaurants, cafes, and entertainment, while Botanica's gardens and the city's many parks invite outdoor time. Shopping malls, movie theaters, and college sporting events round out teen life, and Kansas City and Oklahoma City are both within a few hours' drive for day trips.
